About Us

BACKGROUND

There are periodically times when issues arise which affect how trading in the Australian equity markets functions. Institutional investors (the buy side) and their clients are the parties most usually affected by these issues. There is currently no buy side only industry body set up to provide a forum to discuss the issues and, where appropriate, provide an industry response.

CHARTER

To provide a forum for senior traders from institutional asset managers to meet and discuss matters relevant to trading in the Australian equities market.
To provide a consolidated “industry view” to exchanges, regulators and the government on issues related to equities trading in Australia.
To prepare submissions to the relevant industry bodies on behalf of forum members.

MEMBERSHIP

Membership is only open to heads of trading or their senior representatives from institutional asset managers.
Membership is free.

MEETINGS

Meetings are conducted under Chatham House Rules and any conversations that might be considered anticompetitive will be barred from discussion
